Smart Technology
Safety is our number one priority, because it is our passengers’ number one priority. The collective consciousness of our employees regarding the well being of their passengers is woven throughout their training. By providing ongoing and regularly scheduled meetings, Maruti supports our valued employees. Our training seminars encourage open communication and welcome the suggestions and observations of our team; training with an attitude of mutual respect cultivates the positive atmosphere that drives our company forward. Our culture of safety is at the core of our corporate structure.
The “essentials of our success” safety program begins with a detailed analysis assessing risks and hazards; this assessment incorporates the efficacy of the equipment and the practical application of each component. This comprehensive five-point safety evaluation is structured as follows:
• Assess hazards.
• Identify key elements that serve to reduce negative outcomes
• Formulate customized training approaches that effectively address individual safety concerns
• Provide a solid safety platform of procedural training to our Maruti team
• Follow up with open communication amongst all levels of the team. Oversight and guidance are consistently provided by Maruti supervisors/managers to ensure that across the board there is an adherence to safety protocol.
Safety on board vehicles is monitored with numerous methods
Maruti cultivates an environment where safety is not just a process but a primary mindset. Through the ongoing open communication between our operators on the road and our senior level management, we diminish the possibility of undesirable outcomes. To ensure proper safety practices are adhered to, Maruti has instituted the use of Cloud Vehicle Management; this innovative platform that offers a real-time vantage point into the cabs of our entire fleet. This application allows our staff to be aware of the individual driving practices of each driver; the program monitors vehicle speeds, notes harsh breaking patterns, and records backing procedures.
• Open communication with dispatch via onboard tablets and radio
• Supervisory staff oversight: our support staff is consistently monitoring both the driving habits and the equipment usage of each driver.
• All vehicle operators complete an 80-hour TAPCO training course

SAFETY MEETINGS
Maruti ’s main objective is to cultivate an environment of safety among all of our staff members. We encourage an open dialogue throughout the Maruti environment to clarify and identify what constitutes safety. By identifying areas of non-compliance, we quickly address any concerns during our monthly safety meetings. We also provide ongoing support, each fleet team member is required to attend 12 hours of safety re-training annually. Maruti also believes in rewarding operators that contribute to the safety of our ridership, and celebrate their efforts throughout the year through positive feedback; annually these “Top Op’s” (top operators) are honored during our Maruti’s awards ceremony.
